Iiyama to Release Hi-End GB2488HSU Gaming Monitor

Iiyama Corp., a well-known Japanese visual solutions developer, is going to release a new 24-inch PC monitor from ProLite series. Entitled ProLite GB2488HSU, it features Full HD resolution and is targeting inveterate gamers. The model will be available in the European market already in mid-March for the recommended price tag of €319. In order to certify the product’s high standards and reliability, the manufacturer backs it with 3-year’s limited warranty.



Iiyama ProLite GB2488HSU is based on TN panel with LED backlight. It features a sleek design with a black glossy display case and sharp edges. The new-comer supports 144 Hz refresh rate and 1 ms response time in G-t-G environment. The incorporated panel demonstrates 1000:1 static contrast and up to 5M: 1 dynamic contrast, 300 cd/m2 brightness index, as well as 170/160 degrees H/V viewing angles.

The Intel Company Is Going to Give a Roland for an Oliver to AMD Ryzen

A short while ago the French Canard PC Hardware magazine has reported, that Intel is going to give fitting reply to AMD Ryzen pilot projects and plans to release two new Kaby Lake-S CPUs.



The first processor is expected to be launched under the Intel Core i7-7740K codename. It will get four compute cores with Hyper-Threading support, 8 MB of tertiary memory cache, unlocked multiplier and the 100 W basic TDP rate. Operating frequencies will lie in the range of 4.3–4.6 GHz in the Turbo Boost mode.


The second specialty is Core i5-7640K with four cores and 4–4.4 frequency of operation. It also features 6 MB of L3 cache, 100 W TDP and the support of Hyper-Threading technology, though we can’t be sure as for the last-named specification. One should admit, that heretofore only the Intel Core i7 line offered multithreading in its 4-core desktop processors.

A 55” AIO by Cisco Performs at Least Three Functions for the Perfect Conferencing Experience

The Cisco Company has demonstrated a new huge all-in-one PC, called Spark Board.



This device has got a 55-inch 4K UHD touch screen, though, an optional 70” version is forthcoming. Key Spark Board specifications also include a camera, supporting 4K video, speakers, several microphones, wireless interface adapters, HDMI, Gigabit Ethernet and two USB 3.0 ports. The Cisco AIO is driven by the NVIDIA's Jetson TX1 supercomputer with 1 TFLOPS Tegra SoC.

The platform under consideration was chosen to implement benefits of Cisco Spark Board OS functions.


Mostly the novelty is intended for meetings and simultaneously operates as a screen for presentations, an interactive board for collaboration and a conferencing device.


Spark Board weighs 39.8 kg and is 814 х 1283 х 49 mm in size. It is available at the cost of $5000 plus one should pay extra $200 per month for the software.
