The Vertical NAS Qnap TS-453Bmini Solution Requires Less Space on Your Desktop

Qnap has launched delivery of a vertical NAS under the TS-453Bmini codename.

This storage offers four vertically arranged slots for 3.5” and 2.5” drives with SATA 6 Gbps interface, which significantly minimizes space, occupied by the device. You do not need a screwdriver to fix drivers in sleds. All sections are covered with a common upper lid. The R/W memory slot is located in the basic part of the framework.

One should also highlight the hot swap, RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10 arrays formation support and Intel AES-NI hardware encryption with a 256-bit key. The 4-core Celeron J3455 CPU features 4 or 8 GB of DDR3L RAM, distributed over 2 SO-DIMM slots.

The network part consists of two Gigabit Ethernet ports (which can be combined), one USB 2.0, four USB 3.0 ports and an HDMI video output. The 64-bit QTS 4.3 OS supports виртуализацию Linux, Windows, UNIX and Android virtualization, mail and contacts synchronization in a personal cloud.

Evga Launches One More Overclocked Graphics Card

Evga, a leading American supplier of 3D cards, is going to launch one more graphics card with factory overclocked speeds. A new model is based on Nvidia FeForce GTX 670 adapter and codenamed as Evga GeForce GTX 670 FTW LE. Its design resembles the one implemented in GeForce GTX 670 FTW card, but the main distinction between them is seen in frequency showings. The newbie demonstrates a bit lower frequency index than its predecessor.

Evga GeForce GTX 670 FTW LE is housed on a PCB designed for PCI-e 3.0 x16 bus. This card takes GK104 graphics core with 1344 CUDA cores as the basis; it is developed on Kepler architecture under 28 nm standards. Its inventory also embraces 2GB of GDDR5 memory (256-bit interface). Cooling system is introduced by a 2-slot cooler of active type with a single turbine-like fan. Power subsystem consists of two connection 6-pin sockets and requires a quite efficient PSU (not less than 500W power).

Thermaltake Unveils Extraordinary Core G3 PC Chassis

Thermaltake decided to gladden its fans with the release of an offbeat chassis – the Core G3. The new-comer is differentiated by a slim profile (454x371x140 mm); however, it might be used for the fitting of various gaming configurations. Despite Slim Tower framework, the model is able to accommodate motherboards of full ATX form-factor with two expansion slots.

Thermaltake Core G3 might be employed as vertically so horizontally. Inner space is sufficient for the integration of 310-mm long graphics cards, SFX power supply units as well as 110-mm high CPU coolers. Besides, the availability of PCI Express riser allows for the mounting of the videocard in dual positions: parallel or perpendicular to the motherboard.

In order to enhance cooling performance, the user is free to integrate a liquid cooling system with a 240-mm heatsink. Initially, the chassis is furnished with two frontal 120-mm fans; one more 120-mm fan can be installed on the top facet. All cooling slots are …
