Overview of the Aerocool P7-C1 Midi Tower Case (Part II)

Main Features

According to the manufacturer’s specifications, the case may accommodate very large components: a video card up to 375 mm (or 400 mm in the absence of the front fans) and a power supply of up to 200 mm in length. CPU cooler may be up to 165 mm high.


Despite the construction of Aerocool P7-C1, the power supply is placed in the most common way, and the board is set to the standard six-millimetre racks. The thumbscrews for fixing it are not supplied.


Let’s have a closer look onto the drive installation. The carriers for 3.5" storage devices are simply stretched on hard drives. They are to be straightened a little to be installed. The 2.5" storage devices are attached to the carriers’ by cogs, and it is possible to mount them not only to the ends, but to the ground as well.


The carriers with the mounted hard drive are simply retracted and sit in place securely enough. And the solid-state drives are fixed to the carriers by thumbscrews.

PC-Cooling Releases a New Chassis under Cooltek Brand

All those people who look for a small-sized and classic chassis for HTPC system have got a wonderful opportunity to implement their longing into life. PC-Cooling GmbH has introduced its new PC case, codenamed Coolcube, under Cooltek brand. Such an engaging name totally corresponds to the case's framework: cubic case made of anodized aluminum and painted black. The case itself contains a large number of ventilation holes in the side and rear parts.



The number of PCI expansion slots equals to two, but there is no a dedicated bay for 5.25-inch drives. However, there is room for the installation of a single 3.5-inch drive and one 2.5-inch drive. The length of supported graphics cards should not exceed 185 mm, while the height of supported CPU coolers should not exceed 80 mm.

Sapphire Offers Its Customers the Radeon RX 550 Pulse Graphics Card with 640 Streaming Processors

Without extra publicity Sapphire Technology has added a new variant of Radeon RX 550 Pulse video card to the list of up-to-date products. The specialty is remarkable due to its great number of streaming processors.



As distinct from regular Radeon RX 550 models, built on the AMD Polaris 12 (Lexa Pro) chip, the Sapphire novelty utilizes the GPU Polaris 21 (Baffin XT) crippled version, known by virtue of Radeon RX 560 accelerators. Thus, the latest Radeon RX 550 Pulse features 640 SP instead of 512 as in case with typical samples. The ultimate GPU clock reaches 1,071 MHz.

 

The storage subsystem may be represented by 2 GB or 4 GB of GDDR5 memory with the 128-bit bus and the 6 GHz effective frequency. The graphics adapter is chilled by a relatively small cooler, supplied with an aluminum heatsink and the 90 mm fan. Image output is conducted via the DisplayPort 1.4, HDMI 2.0 and DVI-D ports.
