More Entertainment With the Curved Philips 278E8QJAB Monitor

MMD has produced Philips 278E8QJAB, which is a curved 27-inch display with 178° viewing angles, a 1,800 mm curvature radius and a 1,920 х 1080 pixels resolution.



Among key specifications of this device one can highlight a VA-panel, offering the 60 Hz frame rate and the AMD FreeSync technology support. The high modulation frequency of the edge W-LED backlighting excludes flicker at any brightness. The gray-to-gray response time is 4 msec, the brightness factor is 250 cd/m2, and contrast ratio is 3000:1. Philips 278E8QJAB covers 104 % of NTSC and 130 % of sRGB colour gamuts and is mostly intended for entertainment.


High-quality audio is delivered through embedded stereo speakers of the total 6 W capacity. Customers can take advantages of the DisplayPort, VGA, as well as HDMI ports. An eye-catching modern stand allows to adjust inclination within -5/20°.

Iiyama Launches a New ProLite T2452MTS PC Monitor

Iiyama Corp., a renowned Japanese designer of hi-end TV panels and PC monitors, has started the sales of a new flagship 24-inch monitor in the internal market. Codenamed ProLite T2452MTS, the model features 556x403.5x122.5 mm dimensions. It also boasts a unique multi-touch technology, supporting two compatible touch points (available only on Windows 7). The price of the monitor is set at $390; it involves a special digital stylus to manipulate the multi-touch screen.



Iiyama T2452MTS is based on TN array and employs a power-saving LED backlit. It supports Full HD resolution (1920x1080) and demonstrates a quite fast response time (2 ms) in Gray-to-Gray environment. High-quality array ensures the following display specifications: static/dynamic contrast ratio – 1000:1/5M:1, typical/maximal brightness – 260/300 cd/m2, viewing angles – 170/160 H/V, amount of displayed tints – 16.7 m, light transmittance – 88%.
