Pure Base 600 is the fourth chassis from the be quiet! company, completing the logic of dividing the model range of cases into three segments: the top one – Dark Base, the middle range Silent Base and the basic level Pure Base. Toshiba Preps New VX500 Series of Solid-State Drives

Toshiba America Electronic Components is glad to present a new series of SSDs, developed under OCZ brand. The VX500 models are targeting mainstream desktops & laptops, offering the most comprehensive storage solutions. The drives are designed in a standard 2.5-inch form-factor with SATA 6 Gb/sec interface. Solidity is backed by a 5-year’s limited warranty.



OCZ VX500 SSDs are based on Toshiba MLC chips (15 nm) which are characterized by a more conspicuous reliability than TLC chips. Hence, the items are an optimal tool for content creation, writing & reading info, downloading files, etc. The drives also employ Toshiba TC358790 controller.


The VX500 series is introduced by four models of different capacities: 128 GB, 256 GB. 512 GB & 1 TB. Their top power consumption index equals to 3.4 W. As far as performance specifications are concerned, the models feature the following data transfer showings:

Amazon Has Put Intel NUC6CAYS Mini-PCs Up for Sale at the Price of $233

Being announced a short while ago, the Intel NUC6CAYS mini-PC has not been on sale yet. Though recently it has become known, that Amazon started to sell this product at the price of $233, and its cost has already decreased to $215.



NUC6CAYS is equipped with the Celeron J3455 CPU from the Intel Apollo Lake line. The 4-core central processing unit operates at the 1.5–2.3 GHz frequency. It features the 2 GB DDR3L-1600 random-access memory, the 32 GB eMMC module, the HD Graphics 500 graphics processing unit and two SO-DIMM slots. The case offers space for the 2.5-inch drive with the 6 Gbps SATA interface.


The device supports (1x1) Wi-Fi 802.11ac and Gigabit Ethernet. It is also fitted with a VGA, an HDMI 2.0 and four USB 3.0 ports. The 65 W external power pack is added to the supply kit.
