Only a couple of weeks are left till the official release of a new cooling system Brocken 2 designed by Alpenfoehn. This is a long-awaited launch, since the fist version of the system, entitled Brocken, was honored to gladden the audience long time ago. Hereby, Brocken 2 has got a wee bit modified framework, if compared with the predecessor. Its dimensions together with a fan equal to 146x100x165 mm.



The base is shaped by means of five 6 mm copper heat pipes, tightly pressed together. Aluminum plates of the heatsink seem to be ‘cut’ in the center, unlike the one-piece construction of plates implemented in Brocken.


Active cooling power is ensured by a nine-blade fan of 140 mm standard size, known as WingBoost 2. The fan supports PWM technology that allows altering its rotational speed within the boundaries of 400-1100 RPM. Recently the ASUS Co. has replenished its range of small-sized computers with the VivoMini UN65U sample, operated by the Windows 10 OS and based on the Intel Kaby Lake hardware platform.



The top version is equipped with the Core i7-7500U processor, the chipset has two cores with the 2.7 GHz frequency, which dynamically increases to 3.5 GHz. The Intel HD Graphics 620 accelerator is also installed. The capacity of the DDR4-2133 memory may reach 32 GB.


This minicomputer may obtain a 1 TB 2.5-inch HDD and a 512 GB М.2 SSD. Optionally one can mount the latest Intel Optane memory.


Key specifications include Bluetooth 4.1 and Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac wireless adapters, alongside with a Gigabit Ethernet network controller. On the front users can see two USB 3.0 ports, at the rear – a couple of USB 3.0 ports, as well as HDMI and DisplayPort interfaces for displays connection and a jack for the network cable.

MSI has enlarged its inventory of all-in-one PCs with a pair of new models – the AE201 and the AE222/G. Both greenhorns are based on the advanced Intel Core i3/i5 4th gen processors and are thought to support the latest Windows 8.1 platform version. The first model, AE201, features 20-inch display with Full HD resolution (1920x1080). Official press-release does not give a hint about detailed specifications, though it mentions that this model supports Flicker-Free and Less-Blue Light technologies.



Nonetheless, the larger part of the presentation is devoted to the AE222/G AIO PC. This model features 21.5-inch Full HD display and supports the above mentioned technologies, as well as optional sensor facilities.
