EKL Outs Alpenfohn Matterhorn Series of CPU Coolers

EKL comes out to the European market with a pair of CPU coolers, entitled Alpenfohn Matterhorn Black and White Edition. Both items feature 138x100x158 mm dimensions and are differentiated only by color design. They are targeted the majority of up-to-date platforms, including Intel (LGA 775/115x/1366/2011/2011-v3) and AMD (FM2+/FM2/FM1/AM2/AM2+/AM3/AM3+) versions.



EKL Alpenfohn Matterhorn coolers consist of an aluminum heatsink, six 6-mm copper heatpipes, and a single WingBoost 2 fan (120 mm). It is known to support PWM technology that ensures its rotation within 500 RPM – 1500 RPM ranges. This fan produces up to 62.4 CFM airflow and not more than 18.2 dB noise level.


Pricing is set at 53 EUR.

D.F. Storm, a New Fan by Enermax, Offers 3,500 rpm Rotary Speed and Features the DFR Tech

The Enermax manufacturer launches its new product – the 120 mm D.F. Storm, which got its name due to high rotary speed (3,500 rpm in the most powerful Turbo mode, 2,800 rpm in the Overclocking mode and 2,200 rpm in the Performance mode). Due to the presence of an APS switch one can regulate speed without efforts; and the LED detector indicates the speed mode chosen. The novelty features the 263 m³ air flow at the 38 dBA noise level, the 11.131 (mm-H2O) static pressure, as well as pulse width modulation.



The MTBF figure claimed equals to 160,000 hours. Heat-stable components of high quality substantially contribute to this factor. The blades are constructed in a particular way to ensure high productivity under severe conditions. The DFR technology applied diminishes dust volume and extends the fan smooth operation term.
