Motherboard Intel DH77DF is a part of a series Media, which focuses on working with media content, including the creation and viewing of video. Support for high-performance processors and the availability of high-grade graphics card slot allows use it for building a compact gaming systems.



DH77DF uses a blue color PCB material, like many other Intel products of mass series. There is only one indicator green LED of power supply. The board looks very good good, mainly due to the dense deployment of a large number of elements in a limited space. This integration continues to amaze also in the age of quad phones.


The manufacturer managed to install on board two standard slots for memory modules, so that the total amount up to 16 GB — this is also more than enough for most usage scenarios. Cougar Intros Power-Saving PSU Series GX-S

Cougar has recently introduced a new power-saving PSU series codenamed GX-S. The series includes three high-efficiency models which meet the requirements of 80Plus Gold standard: GX-S 400W, GX-S 500W and GX-S 600W. Cougar promises that the products will be available in free sale already in early April. All three PSUs are housed in a black casing with golden logo and accommodate high-quality Japanese capacitors that ensure utmost performance and reliability.



Cougar GX-S series employs LLC technologies which are called to reduce the power loss on Off/On activities. The models also feature a power-saving framework to comply with Eco-Friendly EuP, ErP Lot6 and Energy Star 5.0 standards. Hence, the units consume less than 0.9W in ‘Off’ mode. Besides, GX-S units absolutely meet ATX12V specifications, support all novel (and future!) platforms on the basis of multi-core processors, as well as several graphics adapters with PCI-e 2.0 interface and 8-pin PCI-e connectors.

The ASRock DeskMini 110 PC Is Based on the Mini-STX Motherboard and Afford the CPU Upgrade

The ASRock manufacturer has voiced, that modest-sized (155 × 155 × 80 mm only) DeskMini 110 PCs may get Intel Core processing units of the seventh generation (the Kaby Lake platform).



The key specification of the product is the presence of the Mini-STX motherboard, which is of decent size (140 × 147 mm), though, affords the CPU upgrade. DeskMini 110 will most likely possess an LGA 1151 socket. The ASRock Co. also alludes to the Core i7-7700K processor, being a 14 nm solution with four compute cores, offering the 4.2–4.5 GHz clockrate. The DDR4-2133/2400 RAM is supported.


Another peculiarity of brand-new ASRock Mini PCs is embodied in the fast Samsung 960 PRO PCIe SSD with the 512 GB capacity. The ultimate claimed data read rate is 3,534 MB/s, and the record speed – 2,130 MB/s.


The DeskMini 110 case holds two 2.5-inch drives, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi adapters, a Gigabit Ethernet network controller, alongside with USB 2.0, USB 3.0, HDMI and DP interface units.
