
Kingston Digital, a global designer of data storage and memory solutions, announces the release of a cost-effective SSD to extend V300 series. Codenamed Kingston SSDNow V300, the drives are intended specifically for cost-conscious consumers looking to upgrade their desktop or mobile systems. Under the claimed data, the new drives are ten times faster than standard HDDs and feature outstanding speed characteristics, where the spindle achieves 7200 rpm.
Kingston SSDNow V300 is based on SandForce SF-2281 controller and employs SATA 3 interface. The manufacturer offers its new products in three variations of 60GB, 120GB and 240GB capacity. Due to the implementation of an updated NAND flash-memory, developed under 19 nm technological process, SSDNow can boast 450 Mb/sec of consecutive Read/Write speed.
