The 492P8 Model Is the 49” Philips Company’s Feedback to Samsung C49HG90

In Q2 next year Philips is going to launch retailing of its new product, demonstrated at the IFA 2017 exhibition. It’s a huge 49-inch 492P8 monitor, based on the curved VA (Vertical Alignment) matrix with the 32:9 aspect ratio, which can provide tough competition to the analogous C49HG90 sample from Samsung, however, the price is lower and equals 899 EUR/1,077 USD.



Philips 492P8 got the 3840 x 1080 resolution, 1,800 mm curve radius, 600 cd/m² and the 5000:1 static contrast. Viewing angles are 178° horizontally and vertically. There is no info about the response time and the refresh time yet. In the meantime, the manufacturer claims, this display can be utilized in multi monitors configuration, when displays are located next to each other or one above the other.

The Launch of AMD Gigabyte AB350N-Gaming WiFi Motherboards for Mini PCs Is Forthcoming

The AMD Co. is going to broaden the range of system boards for AMD Ryzen processors with a brand-new AB350N-Gaming WiFi model. The specialty will be of a compact Mini-ITX form factor to be utilized with mini PCs.



The card layout view supplies a description, according to which AB350N-Gaming WiFi will feature two slots for DDR4 RAM modules, alongside with several PCI Express slots – most likely, one PCI Express x16 and one PCI Express x1. As we can see, the packaging around the CPU socket will be rather tight.

The “exquisite” ASUS MX27UC monitor

Recently the exquisite ASUS Designo monitors family has been expanded by Designo MX27UC. This display possesses a 27-inch AH-IPS matrix with the resolution of 3840 × 2160 px, a thin screen frame and the capacity to display 1.074 bln of shades. The device is produced in golden and black colours, among its peculiarities one can find a ring-shaped base and a thin construction. The monitor weighs 5.5 kg regarding its dimensions 614.4 × 429.5 × 225.4 mm.



The matrix used exhibits high brightness and contrast ratios – 300 cd/m² and 1300:1 respectively. Viewing angles are wide — 178° in horizontal and vertical directions, pixel density is 163 per inch, and the pixel pitch is 0.156 mm. The monitor offers 100 % sRGB coverage of the colourspace.
