Enermax Announces Fulmo ST ECA3270 Flagship PC Chassis

Enermax boasts a new Mid-tower PC chassis developed specifically for inveterate gamers. Codenamed Fulmo ST ECA3270, this chassis is ready to welcome the motherboards of ATX or micro-ATX form-factor, along with eight expansion slots. In retail sale the model will be available in two variations: Fulmo ST ECA3270A and Fulmo ST ECA3270B. The difference between them lies in the color of cases (black and gray-black) and in the amount of pre-installed fans.



Upon the whole, Enermax has taken care about sufficient internal spacing for the creation of a really powerful gaming system. Thus, the chassis is able to house CPU coolers of up to 185 mm height, three two-slot graphics cards with the maximal length of 286 mm; it’s also feasible to free some space for more lengthy adapters (up to 412 mm), due to the demounting of dedicated drive bays. One-Slot XFX RX 460 2 GB Core Edition OC and XFX RX 460 4 GB Core Edition OC Graphics Cards

Last week the HIS company was the first to introduce a one-slot AMD Radeon RX460 series graphics card, motivating other manufacturers to design parallel solutions. Thus, XFX announced the release of a pair of such video accelerators – XFX RX 460 2 GB Core Edition OC and XFX RX 460 4 GB Core Edition OC – which differ only in the VRAM capacity (2 and 4 GB respectively).



Both novelties are based on the AMD Polaris 11 graphics processor and support 896 streaming processors, 56 TMU as well as 16 ROP. The base GPU clock matches the benchmark of 1,090 MHz, and the dynamic frequency has increased from 1,200 to 1,220 MHz. The effective video RAM rate equals 7,000 MHz.


A compact cooler is designed to chill down internal components. Its construction contains a moderate-size heat sink and an axial flow fan. The front-end interface features the following ports: DVI, HDMI and DisplayPort.

Asus Introduces a New Powerful Motherboard Z87-A

The line of Haswell-compatible motherboards from Asus has been recently replenished with a new model – Z87-A. The new-comer is supposed to be the most ‘customer-friendly’ board, due to the correlation of incorporated facilities and price: based on the prime chipset (Intel Z87) on Socket LGA1150 platform, this board boasts an extreme functional combined with the price of $150 only. Thus, it might become a perfect solution for a powerful gaming PC.



Motherboard Asus Z87-A is elaborated in ATX form-factor and supports Intel Core i3, i5, i7, Pentium, and Celeron processors. Memory is represented by four DDR3 DIMM slots that are able to run at the maximal 3000 MHz frequency. Their overall capacity might achieve 32 GB. CPU power supply subsystem involves 8 phases; this is quite enough for a full-scale overclocking. Audio facilities are ensured by the integrated 7.1-channel Realtek ALC892 controller. Network facilities are backed by a separate gigabit Realtek 8111GR controller.
