Greet Brilliance 272P4APJKHB Professional Monitor from Philips

Philips showed up itself with a new top-tier monitor, codenamed 272P4APJKHB, that replenished a well-known Brilliance P-Line series. The 27-inch model is targeting graphics designers, geodesists, photo/video editors, and digital prepress specialists. Moreover, the implementation of WQHD resolution (2560x1440) is thought to satisfy any professional and avocational needs.



Philips Brilliance 272P4APJKHB rests on IPS-AHVA panel with WLED backlight. It boasts fast response time (5 ms in G-to-G environment), 1.07 of displayed colors, 350 cd/m2 brightness index, 178/178 viewing angles, 10-bit representing colors, 1000:1 static contrast, and 50M:1 dynamic contrast. Besides, the display ensures 100% color gamut in sRGB environment as well as 99% color gamut in Adobe RGB.


This monitor is equipped with three different video outputs: DVI, DisplayPort and 2x HDMI. In addition, it features an inbuilt web-cam with a microphone, two stereo speakers, and three-port USB 3.0 hub.

Transcend SSD220S: Affordable TLC-Based Solid-State Drive

Transcend expands its lineup of SSDs with a new model – the SSD220S. It is based on 15-nm TLC memory chip available in 240 GB & 480 GB capacities. The model employs SATA 6 Gb/sec interface as well as DDR3 cache-memory. The drive is housed in a small-sized aluminum case (100x69.85x6.8 mm dimensions).



Transcend SSD220S boasts satisfactory Read/Write speed showings: sequential Read/Write data transfer activity – 550/450 Mb/sec, random – Read/Write data transfer activity (4K) – 80.000 IOPS. At the same time, Read/Write incompressible data transfer speed does not go beyond 330 Mb/sec.
