Intel to Release Celeron Ivy Bridge Processors in 2013

CPUs designed under 22 nm technological process are present practically in all Intel product lines but for Intel Celeron and Intel Atom series. This situation is going to change in the first quarter of the coming year, when new Itel Atom Silvermount and Celeron processors of Ivy Bridge generation are going to be introduced. Celeron series will be represented by three models: G1610, G1610T and G1620; they will substitute the items developed under 32 nm process. Moreover, a more advanced technological process will be applied even to the design of budgetary CPUs with the purpose to enhance their performance and power-saving characteristics.



According to the current data, all three Celeron models will be equipped with two cores based on Ivy Bridge micro-architecture, 2 MB cache-memory of the latest level, and with graphics core Intel HD Graphics 2500. The Iiyama ProLite XUB2790HS-2 Monitor Is Able to Satisfy Home and Office Users in Equal Measure

The novelty from the Iiyama Corporation – the ProLite XUB2790HS-2 monitor – is able to kill two birds with one stone, as far as it is aimed at home and office utilizing at the same time.



The display got a 27” AH-IPS panel with the Full HD 1920 × 1080‎ pixels resolution. This monitor features the 5 ms grey-to-grey response time, the 250 cd/m2 brightness, the 1000:1 contrast ratio and the 5 000 000:1 dynamic contrast. Viewing angles are 178 degrees horizontally and vertically.


ProLite XUB2790HS-2 obtained 2 W stereo speakers. DVI and HDMI digital interfaces, as well as the analogous D-Sub connector serve for the signal source linking. The power consumption claimed is 27 W.


This Iiyama specialty is fitted with a highly adjustable stand, allowing to modify tilt and rotation angles. Height can be set up in the range of 130 mm. Should the need arise one can also easily change the landscape orientation into the portrait one.

Heightened demand for high-end processor solutions and ever rising competition make AMD constantly develop its products. This usually results in the release of really outstanding items, such as already acknowledged Bulldozer and Piledriver. Therefore, according to the words of the companies technical manager, Mark Papermaster, the development of a new processor architecture, codenamed Steamroller, is already on order of AMD's business. The ready-made products are sure to be released next year. Steamroller is called to become the third edition of Bulldozer architecture that launched last year and a loyal companion of Piledriver core.



The initial data witness that processors on Steamroller architecture will be designed in correspondence with 28 nm technological process.
