Sapphire Showcases Radeon HD 7870 GHz Edition Toxic Solution

Sapphire Technology Ltd. is going to release a new graphics card on Tahiti LE chip. Codenamed Radeon HD 7870 GHz Edition Toxic, the card is one of the first models to use the newest GPU, developed under 28 nm technological process. The suffix 'GHz Edition' in the model's name witnesses that the nominal GPU clock frequency exceeds the index of 1 GHz.



The core of Sapphire Radeon HD 7870 GHz Edition Toxic is based on Graphics Core Next architecture and contains 1536 current processors. The card's inventory involves 2GB of GDDR5 memory with 256-bit bus interface. The memory modules are known to operate at 6000 MHz frequency. GPU operational frequencies are still not clarified, but it's possible to assume that on activation of AMD PowerTune option the card will demonstrate some outstanding performance. In fact, analysts dare saying that this model is the most efficient one among all other solutions based on Tahiti LE chip.

Corsair has expanded the range of case fans with the ML-Magnetic Levitation series, the main feature of which is a bearing based on magnetic levitation technology. It was developed with the participation of specialists from the space agency NASA. The principle of operation is based on the use of magnets that hold the rotating part of the fan above the motor. As a result, they do not touch and friction between them is practically absent. Thanks to this, the average failure time of such fans was increased to 200,000 hours, and allows them to function at higher rotational speeds than conventional fans.

 

The new line is presented in three variations: ML, ML Pro and ML Pro LED. Transcend Releases SSD320 with SATA III Interface

Transcend has introduced a series of new 2.5'' solid-state drives, codenamed SSD320. The new product supports SATA III 6 Gb/sec standards, and is notable for the outstanding data transfer speed, as well as, reliability. SSD320 is based on SandForce SF-2281 controller of the second generation which adds to the overall performance.



Transcend SSD320 series will include drives of various volume capacities, starting from 64 GB and finishing with 256 GB. These models employ MLC NAND flash-memory chips. In addition, those SSDs support error correction technology. Transcend has taken care of its new series and promoted for the unmatched performance and showings. SSD320 ensures quick download of programs and practically instantaneous system response while working with complicated graphic material or multimedia applications.
