SilverStone Teases Sound-Dampening Kublai KL07 Chassis

SilverStone has found a way to reduce the noise level, produced by the multi-fan PC cases. Its new Kublai KL07 chassis is a true acknowledgement of the fact that cooling can be silent. The model’s side panels are made of steel, coated in special foam with wave-shape ornaments; this foam promotes for sound-dampening characteristics.



SilverStone Kublai KL07 supports the installation of micro-ATX/ATX motherboards with the maximum of 7 expansion slots. The chassis features 6 seats for the mounting of drives; three of them might be taken by 3.5-inch items. Unfortunately, there is no space for the integration of 5.25-inch drives.


Internal layout provides for the mounting of quite long video cards (up to 389 mm), standard ATX PS/2 power supply units (140-200 mm in length) and quite high CPU coolers (up to 163 mm); if there is need, it’s possible to include a 172 mm high cooler. BenQ GW2470H: PC Monitor Both for Home & Office Use

BenQ has introduced a new multifunction monitor, targeting both home and corporate users. The GW2470H is a 23-inch solution, based on AMVA+ panel with the integrated LED backlit. It supports Full HD resolution (1920x1080) and its dynamic contrast ratio makes up 20M :1 (3000:1 – static ratio). The maximal brightness equals to 250 cd/m2, while the response time in GtG environment was reduced to 4 ms. Moreover, the display boasts the maximal viewing angles – 178 degrees in both aspects.



BenQ GW2470H comes equipped with two HDMI ports one D-Sub port (video interfaces) as well as one 3.5-mm mini-jack for headphones. The model is housed on a multi-adjustable stand that allows changing the height and tilt alignments.

Transcend has introduced a series of new 2.5'' solid-state drives, codenamed SSD320. The new product supports SATA III 6 Gb/sec standards, and is notable for the outstanding data transfer speed, as well as, reliability. SSD320 is based on SandForce SF-2281 controller of the second generation which adds to the overall performance.



Transcend SSD320 series will include drives of various volume capacities, starting from 64 GB and finishing with 256 GB. These models employ MLC NAND flash-memory chips.
