Arctic Freezer 33 CPU Cooler - Review from the Ice Age

Intro

Processors AMD Ryzen pulled a significant market position, creating a long-expected competition between Intel and AMD in the user segment. Each platform has its strengths and weaknesses, but the very presence of choice is already an important plus. The appearance of the new platform also dragged along adjacent areas, for example, a new socket, which would require a high-level upgrade of the cooling system. Any current model should already support the AM4 socket, providing the owner with the possibility of a painless transition between platforms.

To such solutions, we can safely attribute the novelty of Arctic Cooling Freezer 33, which has been recently announced.

The cooling system is available in four bright colors: yellow, green, red and white.

Asus ROG Strix XG32V – New Curved Gaming Dreamboat

Foreword

Borrowing of the technologies is a common practice among manufacturers of components and peripherals.

Samsung created new monitors with SVA-panels. However, the manufacturer behaves in an intelligent way: first releases its own product and only after some time (about half a year) provides an opportunity to purchase matrices for the needs of other companies. Asus took a chance and bought the technology increasing its range of gaming monitors widely.

One of the new monitors is the 31.5-inch ROG Strix XG32VQ standard WQHD with a scan rate of 144 Hz. What can be said about it?

The Modest-Sized Sapphire BP-FT3bGS System Board Is Built on the AMD G-Line SoC

The Sapphire Co. is a well-known supplier of baseboards for AMD CPUs, but the novelty from this vendor,

BP-FT3bGS, is distinguished due to the fact that it doesn’t support processors mounting. Instead the

manufacturer locates a G-line AMD SoC on it beforehand. Supposedly, it’s a GX-210KL or a GX-210HL

SoC with the 4.5 or 7 W TDP respectively. The difference lies in the DDR3-1333/DDR3-1066 memory

module support by a controller, as well as in the operating temperature range, which is 0–90°C/-

40–105°C).

Sapphire BP-FT3bGS is not big, 100 х 100 mm only, because the SoC is placed on the back side of the

board, where one can also find a radiator cooling system with two heat pipes. The specialty is meant to

be embedded into those devices, which earlier could operate AMD Geode based cards.

Two SODIMM slots can incorporate up to 16 GB of DDR3 RAM. The drive is linked to the mSATA port. A

mini PCI-e slot, two HDMI video …
