Toshiba Introduces OCZ VT180 & TR150 2.5-Inch SSDs

As part of the Computex 2016, Toshiba introduced a couple of OCZ-branded 2.5-inch SATA solid-state drives. The OCZ VT180 & the OCZ TR150 are available in four capacities: 120 GB, 240 GB, 480 GB & 960 GB. The key differentiation between the two models lies in the choice of memory type; the first SSD employs MLC NAND chips, whereas the second item uses TLC NAND chips. The pair also differs by warranty liabilities, offering 5- and 3-year’s limited packages correspondingly.



Toshiba OCZ VT180 employs SATA III interface, featuring 100.45x69.75x7 mm dimensions. Its sequential Read/Write data transfer speed makes up 550/440 MBs across the line. At the same time, random Read/Write specs vary from 85.000-95.000 IOPS/90.000 IOPS respectively. The drive consumes 3.7 W power in active mode, reducing this level to 0.89 W in standby mode.

Zalman Boasts a New Line of PSUs with an Improved Design

The line of products manufactured by Zalman has been just replenished with a new series of power supply units, codenamed Zalman LX. The series is currently represented by two models of 500 W and 600 W power: ZM500-LX and ZM600-LX. Both units employ an improved Dual Forward Converter Circuit design that ensures reliable and efficient functioning. They are also equipped with a single +12V rail and show compatibility with Intel ATX12V 2.31 standard.



Zalman LX PSUs utilize a couple of PCI Express sockets (one 6-contact and one 6+2-contact) for the connection with graphics cards, securing the support of AMD CrossFireX and Nvidia SLI technologies.
