Last November Nvidia 'shattered' the IT market with its Maximus platform. Currently, the company is officially presenting the second generation of the platform – Maximus 2. The new platform is based on the advanced GPUs which employ Kepler architecture. The major task assigned to the Maximus 2 is to provide an unmatched performance and efficiency in quite different spheres of enterprise, starting from computer graphics and finishing with oil industry. Besides, it has got improved facilities of virtualization and analyzing activities.



According to the data claimed by the manufacturer, workstations developed on Maximus 2 platform will be put into sale already this December. It is already known that there are a number of companies that will employ Nvidia Maximus 2 in their product lines. Hence, such companies as Dell, HP, Lenovo, Supermicro, and BOXX technologies will introduce their workstations based on this platform.

Thermaltake has added to its Versa lineup of chassis a new-comer – the N25. The middle-tower case is targeting primarily extreme gamers who covet ultimate performance and one-off design. The case features 490x197x463 mm dimensions & weighs 4.6 kg. Its key attraction is the trimming of the front and top panels which resemble the armor of transformers. Shortly before the formal Computex 2017 event opening, the Asus Company presented several specialties, including the super-slim Designo MZ27AQ monitor.



Designo MZ27AQ obtained a frameless 27-inch IPS-panel with the 2560 x 1440 pixels resolution, covering 100% of sRGB colour gamut. The novelty from Asus supports TÜV Rheinland-approved Flicker-free and Low Blue Light techs to provide secure viewing and eye-care.


However, the key feature of this display is its high-performance inbuilt audio subsystem, which is the result of Harman Kardon professionals’ hard work. Two broadband speakers of overall 12 W capacity are integrated directly into the monitor, and a 5 W subwoofer for 2.1-channel audio is performed as an external module. Among interface options offered one can find two HDMI and one DisplayPort connectors.


At present, it is known that Designo MZ27AQ has got a 2017 Computex d&i Award. There is no info about the price, though.
