Xigmatek to Launch Alfar Chassis This Month

Xigmatek is on the verge of launching its new series of chassis, codenamed Alfar. The series consists of three models which differentiate from each other by the color of insertions on the frontal grid (black, white and orange). The casing itself is made of steel and painted totally black. All three enclosures are designed in mid-tower form factor and are ready to accept motherboards of mini-ITX, micro-ATX and ATX dimensions.



Xigmatek Alfar houses seven PCI expansion slots, can accept CPU coolers of up to 160 mm in height, graphics cards of up to 320 mm in length, and a standard power supply unit. The chassis are furnished with three external 5.25-inch drive bays, four internal 2.5-inch bays, and analogous number of bays for 3.5-inch drives. Interface panel is located on the top board and accommodates a couple of USB 3.0 ports and standard 3.5 mm audio sockets.

Akasa Vegas R7 Is a Quiet Chassis Fan Supplied with the Multicolour RGB Illumination

The Akasa vendor presented the Vegas R7 chassis fan, constructed primarily for gaming desktop computers.



This 120 mm cooling device is able to produce an air flow of 1 m3 per minute at the rotary velocity of 1,500 rpm. The noise factor specified doesn’t overcome 23.8 dBA. The fan is built on the FDB bearing and has special rubber damping pads, diminishing vibration. The lifespan reported equals 40,000 hours.


Vegas R7 is supplied with transparent blades and multicoloured LED RGB-backlighting. Being compatible with the ASUS Aura Sync, MSI Mystic Light Sync and Gigabyte RGB Fusion control technologies, it can be easily integrated into eye-catching desktop systems featuring the consistent operation scheme of components backlighting.


This 120 × 120 × 25 mm fan is linked via the 3-pin (power) and 4-pin (illumination) connectors.

Enermax Unveils Ostrog ADV Chassis with Off-Beat Backlight

Enermax has designed a new PC case, targeting demanding customers. The Ostrog ADV is differentiated from all rival chassis by the implementation of a brand MaxBriteTM LED Technology backlight. It ensures bright and even illumination along the outline of the case. Enermax offers models with three colors of backlight (green, red & blue) which can operate in six different modes (All on, Off, Flash, Sparkle, Vegas, Dimmed).



The new-comer is developed in a mid-tower form-factor, featuring 516x493x215 mm dimensions. The layout is estimated for the mounting of mini-ITX/micro-ATX/ATX motherboards with the maximum of 7 expansion slots. There is a possibility to install quite long videocards (up to 414 mm), standard ATX PS/2 power supply units, and a quite high CPU cooler (up to 174 mm).
