Low-Profile Cooler Noctua NH-L12 Review

Noctua, an Austrian developer and supplier of high-end cooling systems, is well-known for the design of versatile products which are able to satisfy the needs of any consumer, starting from average home users and finishing with devotees of overclocking. The recent Noctua creation is the low-profile CPU cooler destined to be employed in HTPC systems and other compact chassis. This cooler is characterized by the horizontal localization of radiator that allows its installation into a quite narrow casing. Evga Launches One More Overclocked Graphics Card

Evga, a leading American supplier of 3D cards, is going to launch one more graphics card with factory overclocked speeds. A new model is based on Nvidia FeForce GTX 670 adapter and codenamed as Evga GeForce GTX 670 FTW LE. Its design resembles the one implemented in GeForce GTX 670 FTW card, but the main distinction between them is seen in frequency showings. The newbie demonstrates a bit lower frequency index than its predecessor.



Evga GeForce GTX 670 FTW LE is housed on a PCB designed for PCI-e 3.0 x16 bus. This card takes GK104 graphics core with 1344 CUDA cores as the basis; it is developed on Kepler architecture under 28 nm standards. Its inventory also embraces 2GB of GDDR5 memory (256-bit interface). Cooling system is introduced by a 2-slot cooler of active type with a single turbine-like fan. Power subsystem consists of two connection 6-pin sockets and requires a quite efficient PSU (not less than 500W power).

Though Later Than Promised, Intel Releases the Core i9-7920X Processor

Intel named the end of August to be the period of its Core i9-7920X processor retail start period, however, the novelty wasn’t available until now. Still, at the moment it is being sold by selected stores in Japan and by some western online resources.



Core i9-7920X has 12 cores and is able to handle up to 24 threads concurrently. This Skylake-X processing unit is performed in conformity with 14 nm technology-specific rules and supported by Intel X299 chipset based motherboards.


The specialty from Intel operates at the 2.9 GHz rated frequency, and its ultimate Turbo Boost clock makes 4.3 GHz. The modern CPU features 16.5 MB of L3 cache, the 140 W TDP, as well as the four-channel DDR4-2666 RAM (max 128 GB) controller. Besides, this product is equipped with the PCI Express 3.0 (x44 lanes) interface controller контроллер.
