The Two Supermicro System Boards for Intel Core X-Series CPUs

Supermicro announced the C9X299-PGF and C9X299-RPGF system cards, designed for construction of powerful desktops, based on the Intel architecture. Both products belong to the ATX class and have the following dimensions: 305 × 244 mm.



The novelties’ specifications are nearly the same. Both of them are built on the Intel X299 system logic set. Intel Core X-Series LGA2066 processing units can be installed. Customers may utilize up to 128 GB of the DDR4-2666 RAM, presented in the shape of 8 modules.


These boards have four PCI-Express 3.0 x16 slots for discrete graphics accelerators and one PCI-Express 3.0 x1 interface for an expansion card. Drives are to be linked to six standard Serial ATA 3.0 ports and М.2 connectors (for SSD modules).

ECS to Implement AMD Memory Profile Support into Its Motherboards

AMD has won a reputation not only for designing and supplying high-end processors but also for introducing its brand memory expansion, codenamed AMD Memory Profile. Thus, ECS company is going to implement AMP support for DDR3 memory into its future and current lineup of motherboards. Gigabyte Releases the Aorus Z370 Ultra Gaming 2.0 Motherboard with the Enhanced Processor Socket Power Subsystem

The Gigabyte Technology Co. has prepared a new version of the Aorus Z370 Ultra Gaming motherboard marked 2.0.

 

The specialty is different from its predecessor in the greatly enhanced processor socket power subsystem, featuring eleven phases (instead of seven) and ferrite-core chokes of a higher quality, which don’t squeak at high load. Besides, the supply set includes a heatsink for the M.2 drive.

 

Upon every other point the Gigabyte Aorus Z370 Ultra Gaming 2.0 card entirely coincides with the previous version. The PC-board shows three PCI Express 3.0 x16, three PCI-E 3.0 x1 slots, two M.2 interfaces and four slots for the DDR4 RAM memory. The Intel i219-V controller secures the Gigabit network interface operation. The audio subsystem of this novelty is based on the Realtek ALC1220 codec. One may also notice the RGB Fusion LED-backlighting, which is classical for Aorus products.
