Team Group Delta RGB DDR4-3000 16GB Review of a Stylish Memory Kit

Introduction
Since 1997, the Taiwanese company Team Group Inc. is engaged in the producing of computer memory, in its arsenal — solid-state, industrial modules and memory cards, as well as flash drives.
The vast experience of production and development in this sphere allows producing interesting variants of operative memory, which are characterized by stability and reliability.

Packaging and Design
The memory kit is supplied in a plastic blister with a transparent front cover, which in turn is put in a colored cardboard cover with a handle for display layout. The cover design is made in dark colors with stripes of backlight flashes. In addition to the series name, there is a backlight on the front of the package. There is some more information written on the back cover.

Upon black PCBs, Team uses developed metal heat spreaders, which is shaped evenly from side to side, but the left has five angled grooves, and the right has a unique shape fitting the Delta R name at the top. There is the T-Force name and logo painted on with gray paint.

While the metal heat spreaders flank both sides, the top of the modules is left with a full view of the opaque plastic, which is shown like the RGB LED lighting. When the RAM is installed, everyone who looks into your PC will instantly know who makes this kit, as the T-Force name on the right end is painted black.

The radiators has a geometric pattern in black and red colors. There is a small stylish stamping in the form of a wave.

On top of the textolite, radiators are pressed by transparent cylindrical backlight bars, which shine through eight symmetrical inclined notches in the top part of the radiator.

The memory kit we are talking about today is TF4D416G3000HC16CDC01 from Team Group, better known as the Team T-Force Delta RGB RAM.
These sets of RAM are available with black or white heat spreaders, come in speeds of 2400, 2666, or 3000MHz and range from CAS15 to CAS16 depending on the speed chosen. All kits are XMP 2.0 capable, they come with a lifetime warranty, and what is very important from the aesthetic side, have RGB LED lighting, which goes with ASUS Aura Sync.
The Delta design is featured by a 120-degree view of the RGB lighting all around and from the sides on the one hand and the asymmetric minimalist design on the other.

The backlight works with the effect of breathing, the speed of pulsations is low so it neither irritates nor makes you tired.

A tiny installation manual is hidden behind one of the modules, which are differentiated from competing brands only in the shape of the heat spreaders and associated LED diffuser that extends overall height to 1.92” (49mm) and overall width to 5.75” (146mm). There are no fancy edge connectors for additional LED control since software does the work.

If you come closer you will find out that it is the 3000MHz kit with timings of 16-18-18-38 2T, which requires 1.35V to operate in the right way.

These sets of RAM also incorporate a customized JDEC RC 2.0 circuit board which increases the distance between the power and signal layers, and it can increase the signal strength up to thirty-five percent.
The thickness of the plates of the radiator is only 0,4 mm, but this is quite enough to ensure proper temperature mode of memory even during overclocking.

Conclusion
A set of RAM TEAM DELTA UD-D4 3000 from the company Team Group is a very interesting purchase solution. At an affordable price, we get a couple of modules working at a high frequency of 3000 MHz when the XMP profile is activated.
An important factor in the selection may be the design of the kit. The strict appearance of aluminum radiators is decorated with a backlight with a breathing effect. This does not greatly affect the height of the modules, which improves their compatibility with the overall cooling of the CPU.

The given set has a good overclocking potential, the memory easily overclocks and stably operates at a high frequency of 3400 MHz without raising the voltage above the safe level.
Among disadvantages only the lack of pre-installed XMP profiles at lower frequencies can be found. If the motherboard or processor does not support such a high frequency, then the modules will work at a frequency of 2133 MHz, and all characteristics above this will have to be selected and set manually.

For those who are looking for 16GB kits, they are required to spend about $150.
