Taking into account an ascending popularity of WQHD displays, Dell decided to expand its portfolio by a new high-resolution monitor – the UltraSharp U2717D. The model is based on 27-inch IPS panel with the top brightness index (350 cd/m2). It is also notable for the widest viewing angles (178/178 degrees) and a relatively fast response time (6 ms). Pricing has not been announced yet.



Dell UltraSharp U2717D features 2560x1440 resolution, 16:9 aspect ratio and 1000:1 contrast index. It promises the coverage of 99% RGB environment as well as the highest color rendering (DeltaE <2).

Heatsink and Fan Framework


The employed by the IH-4800 heatsink features 155x55x170 mm dimensions. It is a typical single-section tower, accompanied by six U-shape heatpipes. The pipes did not get nickel-plated coating, so they have a highly polished copper design. The heatsink embraces fifty aluminum ribs with 2 mm distance from each other.

The Biostar Co. has announced SSD drives of the G330 Series, which are compatible with desktops, standard notebooks, as well as ultrabooks, operated by Windows, macOS and Linux.



These storage devices are performed in the 2.5-inch form factor. The case is 6.8 mm in thickness.The specialties by Biostar are manufactured with the use of 3D TLC NAND flash memory microchips from Micron and the SMI 2258 controller. The default Serial ATA 3.0 interface allows to connect the SSD to the computer.


The Biostar G330 line incorporates samples of 128, 256 and 512 GB capacity. The read response time claimed equals to 560 MB/sec (in the minor version) and 565 MB/sec (in the two other versions). The ultimate writing speed is 500 MB/sec and 515 MB/sec respectively.


The 128 GB Biostar G330 SSD costs $60. The models of 256 and 512 GB capacity will be available at the price of $100 and $170.
