Asetek to Finalize the Development of the 4Gen LCS

Asetek, a well-known manufacturer and supplier of water/liquid cooling solutions, announces the final stage in the development of the 4th generation of its patented liquid-cooling system. Currently, the products developed by Asetek are widely used by OEM-companies in their own systems. However, in accordance with the voiced information, the LCS of the fourth generation will be delivered as OEM-product line, so as a brand Asetek product. The prospective release date is scheduled for the end of 2012.



The 4th generation of patented liquid cooling systems features an elaborated waterblock base and totally refined pump. Such improvement might provide for a dramatic increase in performance. The implemented pump creates a higher pressure and more efficiently distributes the liquid current at the entrance to the micro-channel base structure.


At the same time, thermal resistance has been reduced at 20% which resulted in 1.2 times better waterblock heat irradiation properties. …

The Official Presentation of AMD Naples Processors for the Enterprise Market Is to Take Place in the 2nd Quarter This Year

AMD continues to reveal secrets regarding its Zen-based novelties. This time we are speaking about chipsets for the enterprise market under the Naples code name.



The first of the Naples CPUs mentioned encompasses 8 CCX computing units (CPU Complex) with each of them possessing 4 cores. All in all, there are 32 cores, and 64 threads are processed simultaneously. The chipset includes an embedded DDR4 memory 8 channel controller and a module of 64 64 PCI-Express 3.0 lines. The max RAM capacity is 2 TB. On top of everything AMD Infinity Fabric allows to form dual-processor systems and, thus, double all aforecited rates.


The AMD Co. is going to retail Naples specialties at a reasonable price to provide competition for Xeon E5-2600 Intel products. However, AMD based systems will feature more advanced specs and higher productivity.


Naples CPUs by AMD are expected to be officially introduced in the second quarter of 2017.

2018 Is a Year to Welcome Plextor M9Pe SSD Drives

The Plextor Co. has revealed data about the M9Pe family solid-state drives effectiveness. For the first time these devices were introduced during the Computex 2017 event.

 

As it has been reported, the specialties will obtain the PCI Express 3.0 x4 interface and the latest architecture, represented by the advanced Marvell 88SS1093 controller version and the Toshiba 3-D flash storage, featuring the 4-bit-per-cell option. The devices are claimed to ensure the 3,276 MBps sequential read speed and the 2,138 MBps sequential write speed.

 

The drives will be available in the form of the PCI Express expansion card, as well as in the form of M.2 2280 modules. The series will offer the 256 GB, 512 GB and 1 TB samples.

 

The M9Pe line solutions will be available early in January. Every model will get its own price label.
