Asus Showcases a Multi-Feature PB279Q Monitor

The first 4K Ultra HD monitors cost a pretty penny for real enthusiasts. Sometimes the price tag approximated several thousand dollars! Luckily, with the advancement of a new technology, the input has been dramatically reduced, so the end price nowadays does not exceed $1.000. Asus is not an exclusion. Its latest 27-inch PC monitor, entitled PB279Q, costs only $799 without prejudice to efficiency. Therewith, it offers all the privileges 4K displays boast.



Asus PB279Q is powered by a high-quality IPS array with a 10-bit color mapping depth. It ensures the widest possible viewing angles (178/178 degrees), 100% color gamut in sRGB environment, and 5 ms response time. The latter allows for the prime imaging in action games and movies. The display features 16:9 aspect ratio and 3840x2160 pixels resolution on DisplayPort/mini-DisplayPort connection. Silicon Power Armor A75 Is an Ultrathin Portable Metal HDD of a Kind

The product range of Silicon Power has been broadened by a shockproof external storage device, called Armor A75. The novelty, weighing 169 g, has the following dimensions: 124.4 х 82 х 12.2 mm, so it can be rightfully named “the thinnest device of a kind”.



Its trendy rugged ridges reinforce the construction and provide extra protection against shocks and scratches. The manufacturer assures the HDD can endure fall from the 1.22 m height without drastic consequences. The product resistance is ensured by the pure aluminium framework. Silicon Power applied the lightweight aluminium with effective heat dissipation to make Armor A75 the slimmest drive for data storing.

EK Water Blocks has announced a full-cover water block for Asus ROG Strix GeForce GTX 1080 Ti cards, called EK-FC1080 GTX Ti Strix.



The EKWB specialty effectively draws heat from the GPU, memory chips and voltage controller. It is designed according to the scheme with cooling liquid streamflow separation. Due to low hydrodynamic resistance this product is compatible with weak pumps.


The water block base is produced out of copper and nickel-plated, and the lid is made out of acrylic plastic or POM Acetal material (depending on the version). The transparent lid has two openings for 3 mm LEDs. The manufacturer also marks the presence of the décor overlay with a 3D card name, which covers ports for tubes connection. As an option customers can get a plate to be fixed on the back side of the PCB. EK-FC1080 GTX Ti Strix Backplate – Black (the back one) costs 20 EUR, and EK-FC1080 GTX Ti Strix Backplate – Nickel (nickelized) costs 38 EUR.
