Corsair ML120 PRO RGB Fan: The wind plays its own music

Corsair has expanded the range of case fans with the ML-Magnetic Levitation series, the main feature of which is a bearing based on magnetic levitation technology. It was developed with the participation of specialists from the space agency NASA. The principle of operation is based on the use of magnets that hold the rotating part of the fan above the motor. As a result, they do not touch and friction between them is practically absent. Thanks to this, the average failure time of such fans was increased to 200,000 hours, and allows them to function at higher rotational speeds than conventional fans.

 

The new line is presented in three variations: ML, ML Pro and ML Pro LED. ML Pro models differ from simple ML with the presence of antivibration rubber corners, and ML Pro LED also boasts LED backlighting. The latter will be available in white, blue and red colors. The Kingston A1000 SSDs Are Compatible with Almost Any Computing System, Possessing the M.2 Key M Interface

During the CES 2018 event Kingston demonstrated the Kingston A1000 SSDs of the 22 × 80 mm size. The devices may seem rather massive at first sight, however, they may be installed into most systems with the M.2 Key M interface.

 

A1000 is not expected to be very cheap, though it will be affordable for a major part of customers. Kingston developers tried to save on A1000 components for their products to be sold well. The novelties feature the PCI Express 3.0 x2 interface, the 3D TLC NAND flash memory and a controller unnamed. Besides, the NVMe 1.3 support is declared.

 

According to the Iometer app testing, IOPS equals 190 286 (read) and 202 151 (write). The A1000 Sequential read/write speeds overcome analogous SATA SSD rates: the top 960 GB drive has the 1,623 MBps read speed and the 1,040 MBps write speed. The best SSDs, equipped with the SATA 6 Gbps interface, show lower velocities, not coming up to 600 MBps.

SilverStone Updates Its Inventory with Tundra TD02 and TD03 Liquid Coolers

SilverStone Technology, a generally known developer of the whole galaxy of hardware components, decided to resume with its Tundra liquid cooling solutions, by introducing two new products. Codenamed Tundra TD02 and Tundra TD03, these coolers were first showcased at CeBIT 2013 exhibition in March. Potential customers will be attracted by the absence of necessity for maintenance and refill, as well as by enhanced durability.



Both coolers have got in their framework disposition a waterblock with a copper base and an integrated pump, which are embraced by a nickel-plated aluminum case. As distinct from plastic waterblocks supplied by competitors, the product from SilverStone offers a striking reliability, combined with easy installation, due to the availability of a dedicated mounting bracket.
