Greeting Versa H23 and H23 Window Cases from Thermaltake

Budget-oriented series of PC cases from Thermaltake has been replenished with two new models: Versa H23 and Versa H23 Window. The mere difference between the two enclosures is the availability of a side-faceted acrylic window in ‘Window’ version. Still, both mid-towers feature 429x209x491 mm dimensions and come with a totally black coating. Their internal spacing is sufficient to include standard ATX, as well as contracted micro-ATX motherboards.

Thermaltake Versa H23 and H23 Window boast two 5.25-inch, six 2.5-inch and three 3.5-inch trays for the installation of various drives. All of them might be mounted without any special tools, due to a polished clipping system. The cases offer seven PCI slots to expand the system’s functional.

Additionally, the models support the installation of CPU coolers of up to 156 mm in height, graphics cards of up to 315 mm in length, and a standard PS/2 power supply unit. The I/O panel is located in the top-front panel. It embraces …

Meet New MSI Gaming 27 AIO for Inveterate Gamers

MSI adds new all-in-one PC, entitled Gaming 27, to its product line. Despite being a small-sized solution with a thin frame, the model employs a highly-efficient hardware base that is thought to support the most demanding games. The heart of the system is a 4-core Intel Core i7-6700 CPU combined with the motherboard based on Intel H170 chipset. The core operates at 3.4 GHz frequency but is able to overclock up to 4.0 GHz index. Besides, the new-comer is guided by Windows 10 OS.

MSI Gaming 27 AIO is a 27-inch display with Full HD resolution, anti-glare coating and power-efficient Led backlit. The CPU works side by side with four SO-DIMM DDR4 memory modules-2133 MHz (the maximal capacity – 64 GB). Graphics facilities are entrusted to Nvidia GeForce GTX 980M videocard (8 GB GDDR5), while audio subsystem with the support for Nahimic technology ensures the production of high-quality sounding.

Furthermore, storage subsystem includes a pair of M.2 slots for the installation of …

Micron Adds Three Models to Its Crucial MX500 Series, Namely the 250 GB, 500 GB and 2 TB Samples

On a recent day the Micron company has added three samples of the 250 GB, 500 GB and 2 TB capacity to its Crucial MX500 SSDs line. Besides, the 1 TB model went on sale last month.

The novelties are performed in the 2.5”/7 mm form factor on the base of 64-layer 3D TLC NAND microchips. They are equipped with the SATA 6 Gb/s interface.

Crucial MX500 drives feature the 560 MB/s sequential read speed and 510 MB/s sequential write speed. The Silicon Motion SM2258 controller acts as a logic set. Productivity while 4 KB random clusters handling reaches 95,000 IOPS at read and 90,000 IOPS at write. All solid state drives obtained the 5-year warranty from the manufacturer.

Micron planned to produce their Crucial MX500 series drives as Samsung 850 EVO devices’ competitors. Official retailers are already receiving these specialties at the $80, $140 and $500 recommended price for the 250 GB, 500 GB …

Hard disk controllers, list of vendors

Here you can find a list of Hard disk controllers vendors and download necessary drivers straight away. With a view to find a required driver out of 1552409 items in our database inventory, select an appropriate vendor of Hard disk controllers from the list of 45 available in this section.

DevID : : Hard disk controllers

The hard drive controller is a complex device, a minicomputer with its own processor, a control chip, RAM and ROM, TV recording and reading data, the interface module and the positioning system. It usually presents one or two microchips (in physical form), soldered on the Board, and implementation converting operations in the data flow.

Many modern drives are characterized by a variety of modes, including DMA2, ultra DMA and PIO. In order to take advantage of these modes, it is recommended that you download driver for hard disk controllers. Mode DMA (Direct Memory Access) is useful because it allows you to significantly offload the CPU of the PC during data exchange operations; wherein the controller is in direct connection with the computer interface. In contrast to DMAmode PIO uses the CPU when transferring data through the interface; however, the controller has direct access to RAM.

Sometimes the OS cannot recognize the hard disk controller, even when the installed drivers. The reason for this can be the following:

  • mechanical damages. When strikes or falls the elements of the seal can be deformed. Deformation most often exposed to the interface or contact at the site of attachment circuits. When a minor degree of damage, the device can be repaired, but the life of the elements is greatly reduced. It is also worth considering the possibility of factory defects of the individual elements;
  • electrical damage. The performance of PC hardware is largely dependent on the stability of the voltage petenera in the system. In case of excess, spikes or sharp cut-off voltage and electrostatic discharge, the fuses of the power supply circuit, power circuits or in the worst case, the controller CPU can burn out. Often the fuses are not repairable and require replacement;
  • outdated driver hard disk controllers. When you upgrade the hardware of the computer (or some components) of a previously installed program requires updates to install the relationship with the OS.
