Recently the ASUS Co. has replenished its range of small-sized computers with the VivoMini UN65U sample, operated by the Windows 10 OS and based on the Intel Kaby Lake hardware platform.



The top version is equipped with the Core i7-7500U processor, the chipset has two cores with the 2.7 GHz frequency, which dynamically increases to 3.5 GHz. The Intel HD Graphics 620 accelerator is also installed. The capacity of the DDR4-2133 memory may reach 32 GB.


This minicomputer may obtain a 1 TB 2.5-inch HDD and a 512 GB М.2 SSD. Optionally one can mount the latest Intel Optane memory.

Jonsbo Produces a Massive Tower-Shaped CPU Cooler – CR-401

Following the Top Flow CR-701 cooler Jonsbo introduces another processor cooler, which is a massive product under the CR-401 code name.

 

The specialty is performed in the shape of a tower, main parts of which are protected by the metal casing. The cooler is equipped with five copper heat pipes (6 mm in diameter), having direct contact with the CPU cover.

 

The heatsink consists of two aluminium plates blocks, separated by the 120 mm fan. Its rotary velocity is regulated via the usage of the pulse width modulation (PWM) technique in the range of 800–1,600 rpm. In the meanwhile, the noise level varies from 18 to 25 dBA.

Arctic Cooling Intros Two Modifications of Freezer CPU Cooler

Arctic Cooling AG, a well-known Swiss developer of cooling solutions, has recently introduced its newest CPU cooler, Freezer, in two modifications: i11 and A11. Both versions have got tower-like framework, featuring 108x90x130 mm dimensions. The Freezer i11 is compatible with Intel LGA 2011/1156/1155/1150 socket platforms, whereas its companion is intended for AMD Socket FM1, FM2, AM3, AM3+, AM2, and AM2+. Technology IR (infrared, IR) connections are designed for installation stable wireless connection between your PC and the devices equipped with IR ports. Currently, this technology is not very popular, because speed limits of information transmission and small radius of action. However, the segment of computer and professional electronics full solutions with infrared connection: printers, scanners, cell phones, web Cams, video surveillance equipment etc.

IR devices usually are equipped with a special port that allows you to easily connect to another enabled device. In turn, the desktop/laptop requires the installation of such a port. For configuration and stable operation, use the driver for IR devices.

There are three ways to connect the IR port to computer: the connector IrDA on the motherboard (quite complicated from a technical point of view) connector to the COM or to the bus USB (the best option).
