Biostar, Taiwanese PC hardware guru, has recently launched a new mini-ITX motherboard entitled J1800NH2. The greenhorn is targeting mini-desktop entry-level systems, as well as field-specific platforms, such as information boards, point-of-sale terminals, slim clients, etc. It is compatible with Windows 7/8/8.1 OS and boasts the availability of capacitors with solid-state electrolyte. The recommended retail price makes up $76.
Biostar J1800NH2 is based on Bay Trail-D platform and comes with an integrated 4-core Intel Celeron J1800 processor, featuring 2 MB cache (L2). The CPU operates at 2.41 GHz clock frequency but might be overclocked up to 2.58 GHz margin. The model also boasts an integrated Intel HD Graphics chip that runs at 668 MHz (nominal)/792 MHz (overclocked) frequency. It is cooled by a small-sized aluminum heatsink, sustaining the specified 10 W TDP level.
