Gigabyte Showcases GTX 1080 Xtreme Gaming WaterForce WB 8G Video Card

Gigabyte has developed a video card, based on Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 adapter, which provides for freedom in choosing the liquid cooling system with an open contour. The GeForce GTX 1080 Xtreme Gaming WaterForce WB 8G comes with a pre-installed water block that entirely covers the frontal part, enhancing the cooling effect on the GPU, power elements as well as memory chips. In order to achieve the maximal heat dissipation performance, the user just needs to connect the card to the liquid cooler contour.

Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1080 Xtreme Gaming WaterForce WB 8G takes Nvidia GP104-400 GPU as the basis (Pascal micro-architecture). The GPU consists of 2560 CUDA, 160 TMUs & 64 ROPs. The model is able to operate in two modes: OC and Gaming. In OC mode the core runs at 1784/1936 MHz frequency (basic/dynamic), while in Gaming mode the showings are more modest: 1759/1898 MHz frequency.

To continue, the GPU is accompanied by 8 GB of GDDR5X memory (256-bit interface) which operates at …

PowerColor Intros New Graphics Card with Fling Force Cooler

TUL Corporation, in the framework of its PowerColor brand, introduces a new graphics card with quite an original way of air cooling organization. The new-coming adapter, codenamed PowerColor Radeon HD 7850 Fling Force, employs 'two-storied' cooler of an unusual structure. Along with an aluminum heatsink, copper heat pipes, and a voluminous fan, the manufacturer implemented non-monolithic fan ribs. Their tips are fixed to the main part in a way to change their location relative to the plain of rotation.

On conditions of low rotational speed, tips of the ribs are located at approximately 80 degrees angle relative to the graphics card. On conditions of heightened speed, the ribs become more linear; this way, the impeller diameter enlarges from 92 mm to 95 mm. Such structural approach to the fan framework develops into an improved performance and air cooling effect.

The model is based on Pitcairn chip, developed on Graphics Core Next architecture under 28 nm technological …

Welcome a Novelty from Acer – a 38” XR382CQK Monitor

Once again Acer decided to impress customers and launched an advanced 38-inch monitor under the XR382CQK codename. The Taiwan company has produced a specialty with a refined curved IPS-panel featuring a 2.3 m curvature radius, 10 bits of colour precision and the 100% coverage of the sRGB colour gamut.

The resolution of Acer XR382CQK is 3,440 х 1,600 pixels. This product offers the 5 msec response time, the 75 Hz refresh rate, the 300 cd/m² brightness, as well as 172° and 178° view angles (horizontally and vertically respectively).

On the backside of the device one can find a DisplayPort, an HDMI, a four-port USB 3.0 hub and a Type-C USB 3.0 connector. The 7 W stereospeakers and the AMD FreeSync technology support should also be highlighted.

The XR382CQK display by Acer is already available to official retailers at the estimated cost of $1,300.
