Meeting Ballistix Elite DDR4 Memory from Micron Technology

As part of Crucial brand, Micron Technology comes out with a new generation of RAM – the Ballistix Elite DDR4. It is developed in a pure black PCB with a powerful heatspreader and an integrated thermal sensor. Initially, the company releases planks of 4 GB and 8 GB, although in retail sale the products will be available in 8 GB, 16 GB, and 32 GB kits. Pricing is unknown so far.

Crucial Ballistix Elite DDR4 memory operates at 2666 MHz frequency and boasts 21 Gb/sec throughput index. Its power-efficient facilities are 40% better than those inherent in DDR3 models with analogous clock frequency. This makes gaming process a delight due to intense responsiveness, optimized latencies, and increased frame rates.

The modules support XMP 2.0 profiles as well as Ballistix Memory Overview Display utilities; the latter track the performance of each module, analyzing temperature, voltage and frequency showings in real time. Furthermore, Micron Technology makes its DDR4 compatible …

The Neutron NX500 Novelties from Corsair Are Equipped With a Decoratory Cover and a Rear Backplate

The American Corsair Company is going to satisfy high-productive SSD zealots' needs by releasing new Neutron NX500 series products, already mentioned in the USA and Western European countries’ price lists.

Being performed in the PCI Express expansion card form factor, Corsair Neutron Series NX500 solid state drives are equipped with a fully-featured heatsink, a decorator cover and a rear backplate. These products of 400 and 800 GB capacity use a PCI Express 3.0 x4 (32 Gbps) interface and an NVMe protocol. The sequential data reading speed of both Neutron NX500 devices reaches 3 GB/s in ATTO Disk Benchmark and 2.4 GB/s in CrystalDiskMark, the consecutive writing velocity comes up to 2.4 GB/s in ATTO and 1.6 GB/s in CDM. 4 KB random IOPS rates are impressive –300,000 (reading) and 270,000 (writing).

Regarding the MLC NAND memory chips utilizing we may assume that Neutron NX500 SSDs are aimed not only at home PCs, but also at workstations, which are in operation 24/7. The …

NZXT Develops a New Generation of Phantom Chassis

NZXT, a company known for the development of multifarious hardware products for gamers and PC enthusiasts, announced a new generation of chassis, supplementing Phantom series. The first model designed under new technologies is codenamed Phantom 820 and will go in Full-Tower form factor.
